Rick Doblin blasts FDA on rejection of Lykos MDMA drug

It’s been a tough week for the psychedelics pioneer Rick Doblin. 

First, the Meals and Drug Administration declined to approve the MDMA-assisted remedy for post-traumatic stress dysfunction developed by Lykos Therapeutics, an organization that he based. The subsequent day, the journal Psychopharmacology retracted three research on the therapy, by which many authors had been related to Lykos or the nonprofit Doblin based, the Multidisciplinary Affiliation for Psychedelic Research (MAPS). 

On Thursday, Lykos introduced it might lower 75% of its employees — and Doblin left the corporate’s board. Now, MAPS is reducing 33% of its personal 42-person employees, it stated, in an effort to preserve assets because it hones its focus to drug decriminalization and globalizing entry to MDMA.
